The routes included formed a large part of the Barry Railway, which also built the extensive Barry Docks. Thus both are shown in detailed maps and photographs, as are the Taff Valley Railway's Penarth Docks. Also featured are many industries concerned with products such as cement, lime, gas and electricity. Recent preservation activity is also illustrated.
