London Suburban Railways
Mitcham Junction Lines
from Peckham Rye, West Croydon, Sutton and Wimbledon
by Vic Mitchell & Keith Smith
The West Croydon - Wimbledon route was the earliest railway in the district but has always been a quiet railway byway. The Peckham Rye - Sutton route became part of a main line to the coast and a busy suburban artery. Both were worked by the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway and have had a long and varied history, fully illustrated in this volume.
