Blackburn & Darwen Tramways

The tramways of Blackburn and Darwen included horse, steam and electric traction and provided public transport from 1881 to 1949 between the two towns and surrounding area. This publication provides a photograpic record of these vehicles at work along the routes they served from the late Victorian era and the reign of King George VI. Whilst the content will be fascinating to tram enthusiasts, it will also provide material for those interested in the social history of the two towns.
