The fishing port of Grimsby and the holiday resort of Cleethorpes were connected by an intensive trolleybus service between the two towns in the period 1937 to 1960 and operated jointly by the two municipalities. This publication follows this joint route, plus the Grimsby service to Weelsby Road, and depicts a silent, fume free, electrically powered form of public transport that served the two towns so effectively, whilst also illustrating street scenes of the two towns from the mid 20th century.
